What I do

Three things, mostly
01

Web experiences

Interactive, animated sites built by hand — HTML, CSS and JavaScript, no page builders. I'd rather write the thing than configure it.

02

Data & Python

Mostly NumPy and Pandas. Hand me a messy CSV and I'll lose an afternoon to it quite happily.

03

Always learning

Right now that means C, and the parts of JavaScript I had been avoiding. Second year starts August 2026.

About

The human behind the code

Hey, I'm Pratyush — a Computer Science undergrad at the Faculty of Technology, Delhi University.

I've just wrapped up my first year of B.Tech and I'm heading into my second this August. Somewhere between my first print("hello world") and now, coding went from a subject to a genuine obsession.

These days I split my time between building things for the web, crunching data with Python, and wrestling with C — and honestly, I enjoy all three fights.

Journey

So far
2024 — 2025

Vice President, Byte Club

Ran events and workshops for a year, and spent it convincing people that coding is fun. It worked on at least a few of them.

Aug 2025

B.Tech Computer Science, Faculty of Technology — University of Delhi

First print("hello world") in a DU lab. Coding stopped being a subject on a timetable somewhere around week three.

print("hello world")
2025 — 2026

Started shipping, not just studying

Attendance Tracker and Spent — two tools built because I actually wanted them, then put in front of other people. React and Firebase learned by needing them.

Aug 2026

Second year begins

Going deeper into C and JavaScript, and further into data with NumPy and Pandas.

Skills

What I work in
  1. 01

    HTML & CSS

Grid, flexbox and custom properties, written by hand — including the 3,000-line stylesheet behind this page.

    daily
  2. 02

    JavaScript

The DOM, async, canvas and the browser platform underneath the frameworks. Most of the interaction on this site is plain JS.

    daily
  3. 03

    TypeScript

Every project here is written in it. Mostly it stops me shipping my own typos.

    building
  4. 04

    React & Next.js

Components, hooks and app-router builds. Learned by needing them — Spent and Attendance Tracker both run on this stack.

    building
  5. 05

    Python

My first language and still the one I reach for when a problem is really a data problem.

    daily
  6. 06

    NumPy & Pandas

Cleaning up data that arrives in whatever shape it likes, then getting an answer out of it.

    data
  7. 07

    C

Pointers, memory, and what the machine is actually doing underneath. Humbling, most weeks.

    learning
  8. 08

    Git & GitHub

Branches, rebases and the occasional merge conflict I brought on myself.

    daily

Beyond the code

Off the clock
02

Guitarist

Riffs between builds. The guitar gets picked up exactly when the bugs start winning.

03

Night owl

Best ideas arrive after midnight. Sleep schedule: genuinely figuring it out.

The site you're reading — Next.js, TypeScript and a hand-written stylesheet. View routing, a canvas constellation, physics toys, and more secrets than it admits to.

Spent

An expense and debt tracker that behaves like a native iOS app. Local-first, installable as a PWA, synced across devices.
